Our History – the story of how we got here, is quite important in terms of how it can benefit you today. It’s our credentials and we hope it will clarify how and why we can help you.
It started back in the 80’s with a Telemarketing Agency – a fairly new concept at the time. We had some good, well known clients and offered a range of
- Lead Generation
- Appointment making
- List Cleaning
- Building and sales closing projects
This was across all industries including IT and Telecoms.
We were originally based in Marlow, Bucks. In 1997 we moved to more modern offices in central Reading. We had an enquiry to put a team of four Telemarketers on a client’s site for a project. It was successful and they wanted to employ one of them full time. We agreed a placement fee and the deal was done.
We realised the potential for a specialist Telemarketing Recruitment Agency and TeleMarketing People was born. In 2000 we moved to Maidenhead.
TeleMarketing People was a very successful name. However more recently more popular job titles have emerged, see Roles we specialise in and we wanted a name that better reflected this.
So, New Business People was born. We have always recruited for B2B roles that bring in New Business via the phone. This is either from
Cold calling; Following up leads: or from existing accounts – whatever the job title. We wanted to keep the ‘People’ in our company name as our business is all about people. Also, it was good to keep part of our old name.
We only employ Consultants who have experience in doing the type of jobs we recruit for, prior to recruitment. So they understand these roles.
This is something we feel is incredibly important when recruiting.
